An undergraduate school project took me to Peru in 2008 where my role began in building this organization. Upon my return from Peru, subsequent collaborations with Peruvian locals led to co-founding the not-for-profit, Threads of Peru in 2009. This project became a personal passion to empower indigenous artisans, preserve traditional craft techniques, and connect consumers to responsibly sourced textiles. Threads of Peru evoked my creativity and concern, enabling me to use my skills and heart to contribute thoughtfully to a better world. threadsofperu.com
